Why care about grooming?

Why care about grooming?

Grooming is more than just “beautifying” yourself. It’s more than being vain or egotistical.

Grooming is order.

Grooming is perception.

Grooming should be an experience.

For as long as we can look back, everything has order. Nature has order. Society is built on order. Universal laws have order. So when it comes to how you manage your character, order must exist. You may not follow a cookie cutter regiment, it can be your own, but your sequence of self care before starting your day is essential to your development.

Before we get a chance to share our personality, crack a joke or flash a smile, our first impression is how we’ve put ourselves together. From afar, one can tell if your hair is styled, if you just rolled out of bed and walked out or took time to get ready. Even when you don’t know exactly what to do, effort made is recognizable. This leaves an impression, whether we’d like it to or not.

While grooming can provide opportunity to improve an outer impression, the self perception is guaranteed. When you take small steps on a consistent basis that provide the necessities of a healthy appearance, you feel good about yourself. You are showing yourself regularly that you care and are striving to be better. This allows your mind to know you deserve better, leading to greater opportunities of life all around.

While morning routines may seem tedious, the process should be enjoyable and a moment you look forward to. It should be an experience.

While time is always a factor, sorting out your schedule to give yourself enough time to care for your appearance should be a top priority. Create a sequence or order of how you proceed with your regiment. When you’ve created those steps, repeat them the same way every time, this consistency creates efficiency as well as a habit. Missing one step in your process becomes noticeable because the steps almost become autonomous. It doesn’t need to be grand every time. It needs to be of quality and consistent.

The grooming industry is growing exponentially and there are plenty of different forms of self care.

Grooming is more than surface level maintenance.
Grooming is love all the way through.
