Distilled Water: Distillation removes waterborne pathogens. Most waterborne disease-causing bacteria do not survive distillation. Reducing the risk of consuming harmful chemicals.
1,2-dihydroxypropane: is a viscous, colorless liquid, which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. Its chemical formula is CH3CH(OH)CH2OH. As it contains two alcohol groups, it is classed as a diol. It is miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water, acetone, and chloroform. In general, glycols are non-irritating and have very low volatility.
(PEG-12) Dimethicone: is a silicone glycol copolymer that is soluble in water, alcohol, and hydro-alcoholic systems. It acts as a surface tension depressant, wetting agent, emulsifier and foam builder. It’s used in in a wide variety of cosmetic and personal care products, including, hair sprays, shampoos, skin care, lotions, perfumes and shaving soaps.
Benzyl Alcohol: is a colorless liquid with a mild pleasant aromatic odor. It is a useful as a solvent for its polarity, low toxicity, and low vapor pressure.
Fragrance: Fragrance oils are synthetic products and therefore do not possess the natural healing properties of essential oils. Fragrance oils are essentially a "pleasant" aroma. It is possible to create almost any aroma in a fragrance oil, unlike an essential oil, which is extracted from a plant.
Persea Gratissima (avocado oil): is an edible oil pressed from the fruit of the avocado. As a food oil, it is used as an ingredient in other dishes, and as a cooking oil. It is also used for lubrication and in cosmetics, where it is valued for its regenerative and moisturizing properties. It’s pressed from the fleshy pulp surrounding the avocado pit and not the pit itself.The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents in avocado oil help your skin stay smooth, strong, and elastic.
Ricinoleic Acid Triglyceride (castor oil): Pressed from castor beans, a natural moisturizer, castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid. These types of fats act as humectants and can be used to moisturize the skin. Humectants retain moisture by preventing water loss through the outer layer of the skin. Castor oil is often used in cosmetics to promote hydration.
Phycocyanin (organic blue spirulina): is an extract derived from algae that can help protect skin from environmental stressors due to its antioxidant power. Research shows it also delivers soothing properties, making this a welcome ingredient for any skin type, but especially compromised or reactive skin.
