However, science has come a very long way in the hair industry and when you sit with a professional, you significantly decrease the possibility.

When you want to change your hair color, a chemical process has to take place. The process is based on what hair color you are desiring to be. If you are going darker, you would deposit pigment (color) into the hair. If you are going lighter, you would remove pigment (color) from the hair. If you want to change your hair to an “unnatural color” like pink or green, you would remove natural pigment to go blonde, and then deposit your desired color on top of that.
Pigment, or color, fills your hair strands and allows support for them to be strong and grow. When the pigment is altered, it is important to fill the hair strands with nutrients. If this is done consistently, you won’t recognize a change in the condition of your hair, even after the chemical service.
Hydration should initially take place during your service from the professional but it is just as important for the individual to continue care at home.
