MYTH Grooming was established with one underlining purpose; Help men learn and establish a true grooming routine.
Many amazing men’s grooming brands out there are creating products, but I recognized there was still a disconnection of understanding the products purpose, regardless of the brand. Men, generally, aren’t taught much in self care beyond “wash your hair and body”. A basic foundation isn’t encouraged, much less taught, I believe that needs to change.
I could see very common issues in almost all the men that sat in my chair, dry hair, red blotchy irritated skin or scalp, flakiness in the hair or beard, itchy skin… the list of issues goes on.
When acknowledged, they usually assumed “that’s just how it is” or that they didn’t know what to do for it, as in, they didn’t know what was causing it or what to do to treat it. These issues weren’t being targeted by general brands, and some were even creating the problems.
There are stigmas and myths of self care for men. To be frank, past society norms deemed men’s self care as being inferior to other men. That using products was for girls, that you were “too vain” taking care of yourself so much. These stigmas diminish the standard of self care, and it is visible.
We know the truth.
We do not define Men.
We create products that let men define themselves by bringing out their true form. Our goal is betterment of the individual.
We defy any MYTH.
